Original and most excellent antique Remington Model 1875 single action revolver. This is a very nice specimen of this type of revolver. These were manufactured circa 1875-1889 to compete with the Colt Single Action Army. This revolver has almost all of its original nickel plating remaining intact, is mechanically perfect, and has an excellent bore. The grips were lightly and very tastefully checkered by someone who knew what they were doing. The lanyard ring from the bottom of the grip was also removed during its original use and its hole filled with a silver plug. If a collector wanted to put a lanyard post and ring back in it would be very easy to do. Overall a very nice early Remington Model 1875 Revolver.
