SUPERB! RARE CIRCA 1937 PRE WWII U.S. 1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE~NOT A REBUILD NEW MFG.

$3,200.00

Original and most superb U.S. GI issue Pre WWII manufacture circa March 1937 1903 Springfield Rifle. This rifle is a straight up service rifle and not a civilian sales target rifle. The civilian sales rifles were much more plentiful and commonly sold through the NRA in the 1930s. Most of these circa 1930s era service rifles were used up mostly by the Marine Corps in the early years of WWII. The ones that survived the war were rebuilt many times over by the various government arsenals during the 1940s-1950s. This particular rifle shows very little if any actual service use, is double cartouched WJS & SA/SPG, and is marked with a single firing proof P behind the trigger guard, and has a mint bore. This rifle bares all of its original as manufactured parts and has never been through a rebuild or repair whatsoever. The wood with the exception of a very few handling/storage marks is as crisp as new. As I stated earlier these later 1930s era U.S. Springfield 1903 service rifles in very high condition and never rebuilt are about as rare as hen's teeth.
