Original and outstanding WWII German Luftwaffe M40 Single Decal Combat Helmet, Liner, and Chinstrap. The helmet is manufacturer marked on its side Q (Quist), and 62 for size. Also bares the heat lot number of N172 which according to records places its date of manufacture in 1941. This helmet has seen very little if any actual service use. The liner is original to the helmet, remains in superb condition, faintly ink stamped "55" for size, and also has intact it original leather chinstrap. The chinstrap is very faintly manufacturer marked and dated 1940 at its tip. Overall a superb original M40 Luftwaffe SD Combat Helmet which would be extremely hard to upgrade in condition.
