Original and outstanding WWII German M42 Autumn Pattern Camouflage Combat Helmet. This type of camouflage color scheme was consistent with use in the fall of 1944. First let me say this helmet is hands down the most interesting WWII German Camo helmet I have owned, maybe ever seen for that matter. This helmet was purchased about 6 months ago directly from the original family whose father brought it back from WWII. It has never been for sale before nor ever owned by a collector and it remains in completely attic un-touched condition. The helmet is ID'd on the inside to the original German soldier "Uffz Schongen" to whom this helmet was once owned, also stamped "1869" underneath, manufacturer marked hkp, and "66" for size on the side. The liner is original to the helmet and is ink stamped "58" for size. The liner shows actual service use yet is mostly intact as is the original chinstrap which has been on this helmet since its original use. Please enjoy the pictures and if you collect WWII German Camouflage Combat Helmets and this one doesn't do it for you, none will.
