$1,695.00

Original early U.S. Civil War Colt M-1860 4 screw .44 caliber percussion revolver. This early pistol was manufactured by company recored in 1861 and you can bet it saw service during the entire war, every bit of it. The pistol is mechanically perfect, is all matching except the wedge (which has no number), and has an remarkably excellent bore. The grips I'm sure are original to the pistol as they fit so well, although no cartouches are still visible. Very interestingly if you notice the picture of the bottom of the grips it was tastefully modified during its original use to accept a lanyard. This was done especially by Confederate Cavalry so they wouldn't drop their pistol in action while on horseback. Since this pistol was manufactured so early in 1861 either side could have been using this pistol during the war. The pistol has never been messed with, shows only honest service use during the Civil War, and presents nicely on display.
