CIVIL WAR ERA HORSTMANN SONS & DRUCKER MFG. U.S. M1850 INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD

Original Pre Civil War & Civil War Horstmann Sons & Drucker manufactured M1850 Infantry Officers sword. This is a good attic un-touched un-cleaned example just the way you hope to find a Civil War era relic. Sword is manufacturer marked on the ricasso "Horstmann Sons & Drucker" on reverse "New York". This sword is easy to date as the Horstmann Sons & Drucker factory marking was only used from 1844-1850. The blade on this sword measures its full 31 1/2 inches in length, is not bent nor nicked, has no sharpening other than factory, and remains semi-bright in color. The handle is original to the sword and the fishskin and wire wrapping is mostly all intact. The metal scabbard is original to the sword, is all intact, and remains mostly a dark smooth patina in color. This sword is absolutely 100% lifetime guaranteed to be an original Civil War era sword, not a later reproduction.
